Municipal WasteMunicipal Solid Waste (MSW), or most commonly known as garbage, is a waste type consisting of basic everyday items disposed by the public. JCS will collect a maximum of SIX kitchen sized trash bags, or THREE construction sized bags per week. Additional charges may apply for unexpected excess trash. Please see below for more information.

DumpstersJCS offers 2 yard, 4 yard and 6 yard dumpsters for commercial use. Please contact us for rental information and pricing.
Currently, we do not offer roll off containers for personal use, but feel free to contact our office for recommendations. |
RecyclingGEORGES TWP. AND SMITHFIELD BOROUGH ONLY: Recycling will be collected on the fourth Friday of the month. Please note, JCS considers our weeks to begin on the first of each month, regardless of day of the week. See below for our full 2023 recycling schedule.

2023 holiday and recycling schedules
2023 holiday scheduleJim Collins Services, LLC’S office and services will be closed on the following 2023 holidays.
Because these holidays fall on weekdays, all trash collection services will be delayed one day. Normal trash collection will resume the following week. For example, because Memorial Day is on a Monday, there will be no collection Monday; however, collection will resume on Tuesday. Memorial Day: Monday, May 29, 2023 Independence Day: Tuesday, July 4, 2023 Labor Day: Monday, September 4, 2023 Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 23, 2023 Christmas Day: Monday, December 25, 2023 New Years Day: Monday, January 1, 2024 |

Pickup and collection information
All trash will be picked up at your curbside. Please make sure that your trash bags are securely closed. Place trash bags or trash cans alongside your curb or designated area the night BEFORE to guarantee your trash is not missed. Your trash can be placed either inside or outside of a trash can. PLEASE NOTE: JCS permits you to place SIX (6) BAGS PER WEEK at the curb. Additional bags are subject to extra charge.

- Tires or other car parts (includes batteries)
- Construction material*
- Full paint cans*
- Electronics
- Yard waste*
- Liquids
- Loose cat litter
- Bulk items such as furniture and appliances
- Items that contain or may contain anti-freeze or Freon components
*Please make note of these additional terms of service
- Above items listed can be collected for an additional cost; however, collection of these items will not occur on your regularly scheduled collection day
- Any refrigerant must be removed from bulk items
- Paint cans containing paint must have lids off, and paint inside MUST be fully dry
- Carpet and alike construction material MUST be cut to 4-foot lengths. Failure to comply will result in damage of truck and will not be collected. These items will be considered bulk items, and will be billed according to amount of debris
- In the event of severe weather, in order to secure the safety of our drivers/collectors, and other drivers on the road, trash collection may be delayed and will resume when road conditions are acceptable.
